Chuck Bass is the official "bad boy" of the group. While many find his manipulative and somewhat sleazy tendencies to be offputting, he has a secure place at the top of the social scene due to his wealthy parents. His father is the owner of many hotels and Chuck can often be found in one of the suites pursing his extra curricular activities.
His best friend is Nate Archibald, and although they are complete opposites they seem to be very close.
Cynical and world-weary, Chuck has no qualms about living life on the edge and possesses near-sociopathic tendencies of abusing and manipulating others who get in his way.
